Being Natural Is Key To Good Business Communication

When it comes to how we communicate in business it seems that jargon has got in the way of real communication. Business jargon includes expressions that we hear on a daily basis in business (and politics!) such as 'downsizing',  'thinking outside the box' and the all too common, 'going forward'.

These examples not only alienate people, but also descend into humour and ridicule. This isn't effective business communcation. Writer James Jauncey explains that 'Business has lost its way with language'. Being natural and including personality in business communication is good practice. It is clear that effective and natural communication is always going to be better in business than using jargon filled with expressions which not everyone can understand.
