Bilingual Homes Aid Language Learning For Babies
A study conducted by the University of Washington's Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences, has revealed that children who are raised in bilingual homes, increases the likelihood that they will have a greater capacity to learn languages for longer during their lifetime, than those who are not raised in bilingual homes.
According to the study results, babies who are born into bilingual households have a greater ability to keep learning languages as they get older.
The children quickly learn that there are two words for the same object and consistent confirmation of this by hearing two languages at home, helps the children to become bilingual for longer.
So, it really is worth teaching and/or speaking a second language to your children when they are very young!
