Lingodroid Robots Learn To Speak To Each Other

A research study being carried out by the University of Queensland in Australia, encourages robots to develop their own language. The robots 'speak' to each other by generating random sounds when they roam and navigate an area. It also improves their intellectual ability. The sounds they make signify different areas of an office, say, and then the robots let each other know which sound represents a particular area.

The robots' own language does not reflect the human language as they invent the 'robot language' themselves, independent of humans.
